Running Forever: Chapter 2

The plane was really nice, everyone smiling, being polite, just having the best of a simple flight. The stewardess was kind too. Haven't been treated so diligently for quite some time, considering being a hostage and beaten up every now and then. Back at the flight a felt like a normal person, a regular part of the society, though with a false pretense. Being given several hours of safety, it was reasonable to ponder over my tactics again, despite the fact that I managed to revolve it in less than a minute - it was a simple reason as well. I had no plan to think over. I became disillusioned with the circumstances and ordered a whiskey.
For the next hour I assured myself to keep muddling on, knowing that some of the best actions are the spontaneous ones.
Late in the afternoon the plane landed at Rio. The crowds of people surprised me but so did the heat - comparing Finland to Brazil is ludicrous. "So far, so good" I cheered up myself. All a man could need after a flight is a bath combined with a comfortable bed. Food? I guess I couldn't keep down my desire for a nice, delicious, fragrant meal, after all.
I did this at a small motel, just ten minutes away from the airport. Later on I would regret my actions, even though setting foot to the most unlikely street a man would choose, however I underestimated their tracking abilities.
Everything happened the next day, when I accidentally noticed two suspicious men wandering around my balcony with the looks of uninterested, bored locals. This was when I realized how massive their organization was. They managed to find a single man within a day, a well-trained man. These two are called the Lurkers, and are available in city, or town you could think of. Their only task is to find the person they need and report it. The next step is made by the Ground Chasers, however Sea Chasers and Air Chasers are available as well (I wonder whether a Space Chaser's existence will be detected). The Ground Chasers usually divided into groups of four people, which break into your home with the orders to knuckle you under, or kill you if you refuse and decide to play a hero.
I quickly went inside to pack my baggage but even this trifling detention gave the Chasers enough time to knock on the front door.

Running Forever: Chapter 1

I am not sure I will be able to survive this - maybe thinking of what I've done in my life would be a decent idea. This is pretty much what is worth doing at such moments, when your back hits the wall.
Who knows, I might even get off safe, even though it is a little doubtful whether I want it or not. Anyways, my future will soon be clear, for I am eaten up with this painful waiting. Being chased by the authorities, by the way, has its pros - it gives me a significant boost of confidence, a confidence that I am the man to constrain a whole international army, if not more, to go after me for a month now. So, I decided to keep a diary to read and be proud of when I get old.
It would be really my pleasure to continue writing but I have tasks to do. Being careless is inadmissible, although I have subconsciously began questioning the use of my actions - wasn't the price too high even for a man like me? If something is to stop me it won't be them, it will be my mind I guess, my constant reasoning. This is it - the breaking point is near - only time will tell how long I will keep up the pace and precision in my actions. I am anxious to see the results. I am sure they will be queer for me too.
I have a reservation to make now. The luxury of staying at one place for more than several days is impossible, that is why I have to keep moving. Otherwise I will simply taste some two hundred bullets with not only my mouth.
Hello, Rio! Always wanted to taste the life there.

About "The Lost Way"

I am really happy with the way things go here - it is just the beginning, and yet there are three so different characters, each with his own personality and beliefs, strengths and weaknesses, each with the story of his own. What is going to be interesting in future is the way Abner, Peredur and Heckie deal with each other and what is more - with themselves.
The idea about The Lost Way goes back to last year's November, and several days later, after I had it in my head, I was able to write and post the initial chapter. This is supposed to be a diary-like series, consisting of small chapters which contain some, not significantly detailed, information about our main characters' adventures in a complex world of magic, wars and endless battles. The three brave men will challenge dark and evil powers, relying only on themselves, their abilities and comradeship. What Abner, Peredur and Heckie have in front is a long, long journey to the roots of the Earth and the Universe respectively, and of course - The Lost Way, which is a place full of mystery, but also of answers.
The characters have barely hit the road and many battles, puzzles and action lay beyond, so follow this story because these three have headed to The Lost Way.

The Lost Way: Chapter 3

Feng is known to be a city torn apart by crime and poverty which share the ground with its historic might, dating from centuries ago, when it was a fortress - not so open for foreigners - when a few courageous men, not even warriors, defended their families and the honor of their own. The danger came unexpectedly from the lands on the North one night with some hundred well trained breathing killing machines in an attempt to take possession of Feng. At that time, the city didn't have any men responsible for its defence and the intruders easily broke into. But then they realized they would regret doing so, as the battle prolonged more than trey expected. A few completely unknown people with, however, a great plan, started systematically setting up different kind of traps which were too good for the aggressors, who soon were left to the number of 40. There goes a legend that these left warriors challenged the city defenders in an open fight that was miserably lost. Since that day the few defenders were known to be a symbol of boldness, selflessness and courage.
Heckie also possessed these virtues and that is the reason he would be stealing only from rich people. Born in Feng, he has been living either on the streets, or somewhere around the city in the forest, for as much as he could remember and that never bothered him at all. He was already used to this kind of life and didn't want to change it in any way. Besides, he had anything he needed thanks to his abilities, which were, remarkable if not more and gave him the chance to spend the usual time for work, for mastering them in the woods.
Now he was 18 and you could say he looked a little bit more mature but that's because he turned the kid inside himself into a man long time ago. Nonetheless, he was adventurous and rarely spent two consecutive days quietly, enjoying his meal, or going after girls - Heckie was a regular competitor in the local dexterity competitions and the number of his wins is not much different from the number of his participations - or said with other words - he never lost. Heckie didn't always win fair and square and all the time there were angry men, who wanted an explanation but everything is so simple.
He can make objects go wherever he wants them to go. It may sound simple but it is definitely not and this is the main reason Heckie goes out of Feng in order to master his skills. For the past several years his powers increased significantly which, if not else, really surprised him and let him dream - so far he was using them just for fum but now it was different - he could make his living much more easily, which in Feng was a prominent attainment. Since then he was extremely gifted, talking about games like archery, guiding the arrows with his habitual ease, winning good amounts of gold, respectively women, and the idea of coming back soon for another competition.

The Lost Way: Chapter 2

Not a great distance separated Khard, Feng and the mighty city of Tricland, where Peredur was residing. His childhood he spent studying blades in all their varieties, despite his mother's disapproval, who already had one warrior under the roof and certainly didn't need more. That man was Peredur's father who was impatient enough to start teaching his six year-old son martial arts parallel to showing him the basics of the sword fight. The process was hard for both father and son nevertheless Peredur expressed no lack of motivation during the course. His mother secretly hoped his interests would take a turning point with the age and yet she watched him train every day admiring his mental strength and devotion.
Years passed while Peredur continued mastering his abilities with the same zeal as before if not more. One day his father and him went to the most prominent smith in the province to make an order for a broadsord which would be Peredur's first own weapon he always dreamt of. When the blade was in his hands nothing could separate the couple as training became an essential part of his newly shaped life. And yet one face was looking upon him with passive eyes, wondering deep in her consciousness what her son's destiny could be had he chosen another path. There was no turning back. Peredur had made his choice long ago and there was nothing to lead him out of the way, besides he seemed happy with what he was doing.
Soon his parents would love to sit in the bench just before the back yard and watch their son having his usual practices from lunchtime to late in the evening. They smiled when his words were ringing in their ears - it seemed it was like yesterday when Peredur bravely said he wanted to fight all evil at any cost and never give up. They admired his physical strength which surpassed their expectations as well as his - no one believed he could possibly develop such a muscularity and vigor. Now the heavy sword had the weight more of a feather than a real full-size blade in his mighty arms, against the background of his torso. Peredur swung his sword with such ease, putting so much realism into his movements, that you could actually see the vision his imaginary oponent.
Peredur knew time was coming for him to face the challenge of his courageous dream and come up against the evil he so desperately wanted to smite. On the other hand he was realistic in his judgement knowing this battle would never be easy while one inadvertence could cost him his life. Even so, one thing was certain and that was his resolution what would open the doors for Peredur in his seek for adventures.
He was aware that hard times were ahed so Peredur went on to spend his last days in is home more quietly, carefully preparing his stuff and taking his time to rest.

The Lost Way: Chapter 1

Abner was born in a small town called Khard. Since the age of four he became overwhelmed by wizardry. The first books he could partly read intrigued his imagination and soon, on his seventh year, he was already dedicated to this craft. Sometimes it was weeks before anyone could see him out of his hut. His parents didn't try to intervene, neither persuaded him to give up his studies, instead providing Abner with everything he needed including old books and scripts. Due to the tranquillity around he was able to advance with a great pace and five years later he was concidered one of the prominent young wizards in these lands. Even at this tender age Abner's ability to control his mind and other objects around was beyond belief.
Soon his name was spoken all over Khard with some jealous people trying to imply the idea of him being a threat to everyone around. Abner's desire was to avoid any further conflicts and together with his family he went to the city of Dargg. His new home did't offer the comfort Khard did, however Abner continued to master his skills with the same enthusiasm as before.
Six years he spent in Dragg helping in his father's store, alongside studying, where he did acquire valuable knowledge outside sorcery. After that period he started preparing for a long journey which on his own words would "reveal his potential and give him an actual judgement over his abilities". Abner's wise parents knew this day would eventually come, so they gave him their blessing and let him go.
He then found himself on the way to the city of Feng - one of the biggest places he could possibly go to by foot where he started working for a generous tradesman who encouraged Abner to use his powers, which as he said, were outstanding. However, at the beginning Abner didn't have enough audacity to rely on his magic abilities until he met a wise old man named Tagnard who became something like his teacher. Actually, Abner's powers were mightier than his new friend's but the inability to use them lead to the need of a man like Tagnard. Abner left the trader and moved to live in his teacher's place. There he spent two years of hard training which were more than enough for him to build on his confidence. When there was nothing more Tagnard could teach him he received his only but priceless present - a magic wand.
Abner left him and Feng and as a token of his gratitude promised to come back one day. Then he set off to Tricland where he thought his true adventures would begin.

Intro

First of all I want to say Hi! to all.

I am Space and I am extremely happy to finally create my own blog. I love writing different kinds of stuff and I decided it would be a good idea to share it with you. This is just a hobby for now but we will see how things progress and what the future holds. Never mind. Studying in a University requires a significant amount of time, so my writing attempts are a little bit restricted. Despite this, I will try to post as regularly as I can.

One thing that I have to mention is that I like writing both in Bulgarian and in English, so I am going to make this blog, how should I say, international. This means there will be stuff in both languages but this does not have to bother you. Everyone is welcome to get closer to my writings and I would be more than happy to see you opinions.

I hope you enjoy this place and feel free to comment.
